Though he does not have arachnoiditis, this courageous and inspiring man has risen above his limitations to accomplish what some who are healthy never do. In a search for information on arachnoiditis a member of ASAMS came upon an article about it on a website built by Jim. Moved and inspired by it, we want to make his story available to our viewers. James Lubin has transverse myelitis. How did he find his way to the front page of of New Mobility Magazine and when compiling his website to include information about arachnoiditis? lt began suddenly. He describes it this way. "Ten years ago I had a great job that I enjoyed, I seemed to be in good health, I was standing and talking with someone, and then in a matter of minutes, I couldn't stand, couldn't breathe and nearly died. Five years ago, I never would have imagined getting this [Person of the Year] recognition." Click on his picture to read his story. His experience can motivate us all to reach for a higher quality of life, productivity, and enjoyment despite our adversities.
Below are links from his website which is an excellent resource of information related to spinal cord injury. disAbility Information Resources
